Justis Publishing and Politico’s launch retail enterprise

Justis Publishing is delighted to announce that, as of 31st January 2002, Politico’s Bookstore will be retailing our parliamentary information service, Parlianet, through its central London outlet.

Privately owned and founded in 1997, Politico’s (www.politicos.co.uk) is Britain's leading political retailer, offering an unrivalled range of books about politics and other political merchandise.

Customers will be able to try Parlianet for themselves or request a demonstration by staff at the store, which is located at the heart of political life in Westminster. They will also be able to request a free trial and take out subscriptions on the premises.

Parlianet is fast becoming known as the premier service for comprehensive bibliographic indexing of all United Kingdom parliamentary information, including Hansard.

Speaking at the official launch of Parlianet at Politico’s Bookstore in November 2001, Michael Prescott, formerly Political Editor of the Sunday Times, commented:

"Even as a practising political journalist, it was often hard to find some basic information on parliamentary developments. Parlianet allows any organisation to monitor those political developments which affect them. I think it makes a very important contribution to the monitoring of political life in this country."
